Description: Bill Walker's collection of baseball photos, newspaper clippings and career related ephemera. Large lot includes (17) original photographs c.1920s-30s, most of which are laminated including team photos, action shots, posed images and candids featuring players from the New York Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and PCL. Photo highlights include a large 10"x14" George Burke photo of the 1933 NL All-Star team (laminated). Dozens of newspaper articles chronicling the career and life of Bill Walker are included, all of which are neatly laminated on red paper backings. Autographed pieces include an 8"x10" print featuring an artist rendering of the 1934 Cardinals signed by Frisch, Medwick, Ford Frick, Warren Giles and others (Walker is clubhouse, laminated); a 1928 New York sports dinner banquet program signed by eight incl. Lefty O'Doul; and a 1929 New York Giants tribute dinner program for Eddie Brannick. Also included are two pieces of correspondence from the office of the Commissioner of Baseball from 1934 and 1936 outlining the World Series bonus payments for Walker and the rest of his Cardinals teammates. Lastly is Bill Walker's personal hardbound volume of the 1933 book Who's Who in Baseball with his name "William H. Walker" printed on the cover in gold lettering.
