Description: 1975 Jim Rice autographed Boston Red Sox professional model home Rookie jersey. White knit jersey is completely original and unaltered including "Red Sox" lettering on front and Rice's number "14" on back. Jersey retains orig. McAuliffe tag in collar with size "42" tag below. Tagging on bottom of front tail includes year "1975" tag and adjacent washing instructions tag. Jersey shows good overall usage and wash wear incl. some very minor staining and appropriate age toning. Rice has signed the front in blue sharpie. Recent Hall of Fame inductee Jim Rice continued the tradition of his predecessors, Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski, as a power-hitting left fielder who played his entire career for the Red Sox. He ended his career ranked tenth in AL history with 382 home runs; his career marks in homers, hits (2,452), RBI (1,451) and total bases (4,129) remain Red Sox records for a right-handed hitter. Rice teamed with Fred Lynn in the Red Sox' outfield in 1975 to form baseball's most powerful rookie tandem.
