This very bat was of great significance to the 1966 All-Star Game played at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The bat is signed by several participants including Koufax, Flood, McCarver, Alston, Gibson, and Wills himself. Period marker notation under the Wills and McCarver autographs reads, "used this bat to get base hit that scored... with winning run of All-Star Game 1966 Score 2-1 10 innings". A large period cardboard label is include which is inscribed, "The Bat that won the 1966 All-Star Game". Additionally, the bat has been inspected by Maury Wills, who has signed a detailed letter of provenance confirming that this was in fact the bat he used to win that classic All-Star contest.
