Description: Tony Conigliaro professional model baseball bat c.1965-68. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 32.4oz. The bat shows heavy use incl. ball marks, stitching impressions, and cleat marks. Model #K55 is stamped on the knob end which also has a chip to the back side. Tony Conigliaro was one of the more beloved Red Sox players during the 1960s era. In 1967, he suffered a severe injury to his retina which sidelined him until the 1969 season. During the 1969 season, he won the comeback player of the year award hitting 20 home runs. Tragically, he died in 1990 after suffering a stroke several years earlier at the young age of 45.
