Description: Lot of (5) Bill Clinton items related to "The Curt Flood Act". Lot includes a poignant letter from President Clinton to Curt Flood's widow Judy Flood on January 21, 1999 on White House letterhead in which Clinton states in part, "I was very proud to sign into law the Curt Flood Act of 1998, named in honor of your late husband, Curt. Though he was a man of great courage and foresight, Curt Flood could not have known when he refused to be traded from the St. Louis Cardinals to the Philadelphia Phillies nearly 30 years ago that his actions would lead to the passage of this historic law.....As a tribute to Curt's vital contributions to the enactment of this legislation, please accept the enclosed signing pen and redline copy of the bill...." The letter is signed "Bill Clinton" (autopen). The Presidential signing pen in its original box and redline copy of The Curt Flood Act are included in the lot. An 8"x10" color photo of Flood and his family with Bill and Hillary Clinton in the oval office is also included (signed by Flood on the back), as well as a NL White ball signed by Clinton on the sweet spot. Blue ink signature rates 9 out of 10. Ball itself is near white with minimal evidence of handling. Includes LOA from JSA and letter of provenance from the Flood family: Range: EX/MT-NM/MT
