Description: Unique 1945-46 Mickey Mantle Commerce High School letterman's certificate. Charming original letterman's certificate was presented to a young Mickey Mantle by Commerce Senior High School for the 1945-46 season. Mantle was a fine overall athlete, even in basketball, for which he earned the offered certificate. The certificate is inscribed to Mantle and signed by school officials at the bottom. 7"x9" with light quarter fold lines and some light general surface wear. The certificate has been matted and framed with a replica photograph of Mantle holding a basketball in his uniform from the period.
