Description: Darryl Kile professional model baseball bat. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 33 1/2" long and weighs 25.6oz. The bat shows evident use including ball marks, stitching impressions, and has a large section missing from the back of the barrel. Stamped in block lettering on the barrel, "Darryl Kile St. Louis Cardinals". Kile died tragically during the 2002 season from heart disease while in Chicago for a series. The offered bat includes a letter of authenticity from the Chicago Cubs dated September 24, 2002 certifying its use by Kile along with a Chicago tribune Sports section picturing Cubs catcher Joe Girardi making the announcement regarding Kile (signed by Girardi): VGEstimated Price Range: ($300-$400)
