Description: Enormous Babe Ruth autograph on paper placemat. Uncommonly large Babe Ruth blue ballpoint signature measuring 4.75" in length and penned on a paper placemat rates 9-10 out of 10. The placemat features an embossed floral pattern in each corner and is dated "9-15-47" in pencil along the bottom. An ideal medium for obtaining the baseball legend's coveted signature, this 12.25"x10" placemat was likely presented to Ruth during a restaurant encounter. Ruth clearly took advantage of the large writing surface by scripting his name in correspondingly large fashion. The placemat has a light vertical fold and a number of small border tears.
