Description: ***UPDATED DESCRIPTION*** Johnny Bench professional model baseball bat c.1973-75. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35 1/2" long and weighs 31.2oz. The bat shows very strong use including pine tar residue on the handle, extensive ball marks, stitching impressions, and rack marks. Model B278 is stamped on the knob end and a faded number, which appears to be a "5", is written in period black marker. Factory records show first shipements of this model on 2-5-73, throughout 1974, and one last shipment in June of 1975. Bat is not cupped.
