Description: 1963 Bob Schenz L.A. Dodgers World Championship ring. 14K white gold ring was presented to Bob Schenz as a member of the 1963 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers organization. Top of the ring has a large blue inset stone encircled by the words "Los Angeles World Champions". One side displays a crossed bats and ball motif with Schenz's facsimile signature across the sweet spot of the ball. The other side has the Dodgers script logo on a baseball with a "4 straight" design along with the scores of each game of the Dodgers' four game sweep of the Yankees in the series. The year "1963" also appears at top. Marked "Balfour 14K" on the interior ring band. Ring shows minimal wear and is accompanied by its original presentation box. The 1963 World Series matched the two-time defending champion New York Yankees against the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the Dodgers sweeping the Series in four games to capture their second title in five years. This was the first time that the New York Yankees were swept in a World Series in four games. Starting pitchers Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Johnny Podres and ace reliever Ron Perranoski combined to give up only four runs in four games. Size 9.5.
