Description: Rare September 30, 1972 Roberto Clemente 3,000th Hit ticket stub. Scarce original Field Box ticket stub was issued for the final regular season game of Roberto Clemente's Major League Baseball career in which he collected his 3,000th base hit. The ticket stub remains fully intact with a period notation on the reverse, "Day Roberto Clemente had his 3,000th base hit off John Matlack Pirates 5 N.Y. 0" . Tragically, Clemente was lost to a fatal plane crash during the off season and as such the offered ticket is one of the more rare and desirable of its type from the era: EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$1,500)
