Description: 1979 Bucky Dent Sport Magazine "25 Years of World Series Heroes" award. Attractive presentational piece features a large wooden base (13.5"x8.5") with metal placard affixed to the front reading, "Major League Baseball - Sport Magazine Honor 25 Years of World Series Heros, Bucky Dent, New York Yankees - 1978." A lucite/acrylic addition which sits on top displays a "World Series MVP 1955-1979" insignia. A fluorescent bulb inside was intended to illuminate the upper portion when plugged in however it is not currently functional (it could likely be rewired to restore working order). "Balfour" label remains on the underside. The piece was done as part of Sport Magazine's celebration of the 20th Anniversary of their sponsoring the World Series MVP Award. Each past recipient was so honored with many attending an October 25, 1979 event at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. In fine overall condition with little mentionable wear.
