Description: Dick Allen attributed Chicago White Sox professional model batting helmet c.1970s. Flapless vintage helmet has white "SOX" logo painted on the front. A number of original labels remain inside including KM Pro Cap, Pro-Celd by ABC, and (2) from American Baseball Cap (one noting size, 7 5/8). Raised American Baseball Cap lettering also appears under the brim. Very lightly used with a touch of age/storage related wear. There are no player identifiers but the helmet has long resided in the Dent Collection (he was with the team from 1973-1976). Bucky has relayed that he was given the helmet by Dick Allen who made the style was made famous by Dick Allen after he appeared in one on the cover of Sports Illustrated, smoking in the dugout.
