Description: Mickey Mantle autographed original illustration artwork by Leo O'Mealia c.1956. Appealing original artwork done on 10.25"x13" artist's stock paper shows Mickey Mantle riding a baseball bat shaped airplane labeled "18 Home Runs" toward a moon lettered "Ruth's Record 60." Captioned to suggest that he had hit his 18th by the end of May, a feat he only accomplished during his 1956 Triple Crown season. The mark of noted illustrator Leo O'Mealia who was on staff with the New York Daily News appears at lower right (in the form of a small lion). Signed "Mickey Mantle" within the lower border in ink rating 9/10 out of 10. Touch of light natural age and handling wear. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sig.
