Description: c.1930s Bill Dinneen autographed George Burke photograph (PSA/DNA "Type I" with 8 auto). Rare signed photograph of the player turned umpire who passed away in 1955. His Major League career began with the 1898 Washington Senators and he would go on the play with Boston in the 1903 World Series before a stint in St. Louis (he appears in their uniform on his 1909-11 T206 card). A highly regarded American League umpire, he was behind the plate for the inaugural All-Star Game in 1933. Charming 4"x6" photograph has been signed in fountain pen with the autograph graded "8" by PSA. "Geo. Burke" stamp on the back along with his customary typed notations. Hint of light wear.
