Handsome chess set by Danbury Mint with the pieces taking the form of small figural baseball players and the pawns are represented by teams from either the National or American Leagues. Notables (as depicted by playing pieces) include Willie Mays, Jackie Robinson, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Hank Aaron, and Stan Musial. In fine overall condition with just the slightest hint of light wear (noted largely for accuracy).
