Highly prestigious piece presented "In Recognition of His 16 Consecutive Awards" to Kaat whom was among a small group of former winners that were honored by Rawlings. Fashioned in the manner of a traditional Gold Glove with mahogany wooden base that features a pair of applied brass placards. The first has a printed portrait of Kaat and the other reads, "Presented to Jim Kaat In Recognition Of His 16 Consecutive Awards 1962-1977, Rawlings Gold Glove Award Hall of Fame."
