Description: 1982 Jim Kaat St. Louis Cardinals World Series trophy. Figural trophy as presented to Kaat for his efforts as a member of the World Series Champion Cardinals team. High quality figural piece stands 11" tall with brass team name pennants encircling an upright circle which supports a crown finial. Cardinals and Brewers enameled World Series press pin facades adorn the base. A brass band wrapped around it reads "St. Louis Cardinals World Champions 1982 James Kaat" in block lettering. Original "Balfour" label is on the underside. Scattered wear includes some minor tarnish, very small amounts of loss to the team names on pennant, and it appears that the upright circular support was polished resulting in the removal of 99% of the brass colored finish. In addition the small baseball which sits on the base has either been replaced or the original was painted over in white. A highly desirable symbol of the Cardinals Championship and further enhanced with the lineage to a Hall of Fame player.
