Description:1908 Nick Altrock autographed Chicago White Sox player's contract counter signed by Charles Comiskey and Ban Johnson. Original player's contract as executed between the Chicago White Sox and Altrock covering his terms of employment for the 1908 season. He had won a Championship with the team in 1906 but an arm injury that season would end his time as an effective pitcher. He remained in baseball for decades first as a pinch hitter and then transitioned into a long standing role as a Coach. Contract is dated January 25, 1908 and has been signed "Nick Altrock." Hall of Fame team owner Charles Comiskey has signed just above and added a handwritten provision below ("...$900 extra if he takes good care of himself and does not drink any liquors") with his autograph again appearing below. The signature of Ban Johnson, President of American League, is on the back. All are done in fountain pen with Altrock rating 7 out of 10 and the others are stronger (8-8/9). Light handling and storage wear along with typical folds. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sig. NM, Contract VG
