Description: 1908 John "Jiggs" Donahue autographed Chicago White Sox player's contract counter signed by Charles Comiskey: Rare autograph and T-206 Player subject. Original player's contract as executed between the Chicago White Sox and Jiggs Donahue covering his terms of employment for the 1908 season. Donahue had been a member of their 1906 World Series Championship team and was one of the top fielding first basemen in the League leading in several defensive categories from 1905 to 1907. His early death in 1913 has left a scant few examples of his autograph in the marketplace and desirability is strong given his inclusion on that 1906 roster and in the landmark T206 baseball card set. Contract is dated January 31, 1908 and has been signed "John A. Donahue" with Hall of Fame team owner Charles Comiskey likewise signing above. Both are done in fountain pen rating 8 out of 10. Light handling and storage wear along with a touch of toning (slightly more pronounced in areas) and typical folds. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sig.
