Description: 1892 Morgan Bulkeley autographed State of Connecticut appointment. Official document signed "Morgan Bulkeley" in his capacity as Governor of the state of Connecticut to appoint a judge. The autograph appears at lower right and is done in ink rating 8/9 out of 10. Document (16"x19.5") display toning and heavy wear throughout including rips and tears. A small area in the upper half has been completely replaced (with similarly toned/colored paper) and text was hand painted. The signature portion remains largely unaffected by these most severe flaws and it could be clipped off to leave a nice signature on toned slip of paper with the last name effected by a crease. Bulkeley had previously served as the first President of the National League and was inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sig.
