Description: Rare Clyde Manion Detroit Tigers professional model home jersey c.1920s Pinstriped jersey with three quarter length sleeves has its' original "D" team logo on the left front chest. "Spalding" tag is in the collar with an outline below of where an additional tag used to reside. Player name "Manion" is stitched in the tail. In fine overall condition with appropriate use and wash wear and there are some small holes on the front. These are most prominent in the upper chest and the team logo has a very small amount of material loss. An exceedingly rare survivor being one of the earliest Tigers jerseys which we have handled. Ty Cobb took over Managerial duties of the club in 1921 and would remain in that position until 1926. This period coincides with the years Clyde Manion spent with the team as a backup catcher.
