Description: Outstanding George Brett autographed professional model baseball bat c.1988-89 (PSA/DNA "GU 9.5"). Louisville Slugger 125 model C271 bat with Brett facsimile signature in the barrel measures 33.5" long and weighs 30.4oz. "LOU" is written on the knob in vintage marker, a nod to Brett's older brother whom had given him that nickname. Outstanding use is evident throughout with many ball, contact, and stitch marks covering the hitting surface. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and there are cleat marks on one side of the barrel. A nice coat of pine tar remains on the handle, which has a minor crack, and there is a ring of tape applied above the knob to aid in grip. Signed "George Brett" in marker rating 8/9 out of 10. An exceptional example with strong eye appeal dating to the period in which Brett won his third Silver Slugger Award.
