Description: 1988 Mike Schmidt autographed and professional model baseball bat with rare photo match (PSA "GU 10"). Rawlings Big Stick bat with Schmidt name impressed in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 33.5oz. Model number "154A" is factory stamped in the knob along with batch and year codes. Player number "20" is written on in vintage black marker. Uncracked with outstanding use including ball and contact marks to the hitting surface. Many of these include black ball transfer marks. In addition there are some cleat marks and a nice coat of pine tar on the handle. The included documentation from PSA cites a photo match to an undated image on Getty (#52991094) which they believe to have been taken during the 1988 season. The player number on knob is written in distinctive fashion and (2) of the large black ink transfer marks compare favorably with this photograph. Of the many Schmidt bats we have handled over the years, this is the first photo match documented example that we can recall offering.
