Description:Exceptional 1985 Pete Rose autographed professional model baseball bat - record breaking season (PSA/DNA GU 10) Mizuno brand bat with Pete Rose facsimile signature and model "PR4192." in block letter on the barrel measures 34" long and weighs 31.5oz. Uncracked with evident use including ball contact and stitch marks. In addition there is some minor grain swelling to the hitting surface and portions have been sanded with the black finish removed. This a Rose characteristic which has been observed on game bats dating to the late 1970s and 1980s. Original handle tape is likewise applied in trademark Rose fashion with (5) rings on the lower portion and the upper bearing a wider covering. All of these have a nice coating of pine tar. Signed "Pete Rose" in silver marker rating 8 out of 10. On September 11, 1985 Rose would collect career hit number (4,192) to pass Ty Cobb and stand alone as baseball's all-time leader in hits. In was an historic season and a monumental accomplishment leaving behind one of the few records across the spectrum of sports which is likely to never be broken.
