Description: Outstanding Mike Schmidt autographed professional model glove c.1986 - Most Valuable Player and Gold Glove Award winning season. Rawlings model "Pro6X-HC" left hand glove (for right handed thrower) has an "H" style web, wing tip back, and fleece lined wrist strap. Player number "20" is on the outside in vintage, slightly faded, black marker. The wrist strap tag is no longer present and appears to have been removed long ago with a period autograph in its' place (marker, 6-6/7 out of 10). The glove was later signed again along the outer thumb (marker, 7/8). Outstanding use is evident throughout with a well broken in pocket and appropriate scuffing/surface wear. Included PSA documentation notes the date code places year of manufacture to 1986. Schmidt had a banner season winning his third Most Valuable Player Award leading the National League with (37) home runs and (119) RBI. He was further honored with his 10th Gold Glove Award in recognition of stellar defensive play. We have been privileged to handle several better pieces of Schmidt related game equipment over the years and the offered example stands as the best example of a Schmidt game glove which we can recall offering.
