Description: Early George Sosnak hand decorated folk art baseball dated 1957. Spalding W.Giles Official National League baseball was hand decorated by the inimitable artist with India ink renderings of an umpire (complete with halo above head) being yelled at by a clearly agitated manager. Lettered on a side panel, "To Fin Prodger from Geo. H. Sosnak, Loads of Luck, 1957." This is among the earliest Sosnak folk art decorated baseballs which we have seen or offered and one to which he could surely relate having been an umpire himself.
