Description: Exceptional Roberto Clemente professional model baseball bat c.1965-68 - MVP and Batting title era (PSA/DNA GU 9.5) Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Clemente facsimile signature in the barrel measures 36" long and weighs 37.2oz. Model number "U1" is factory stamped in the knob which has a period "21" player number marker notation. Outstanding use is evident throughout with ball and contact marks visible throughout the hitting surface. Cleat marks and black polish appear on the barrel along with green rack streaks. A slight handle crack has been expertly repaired. The bat dates to a particularly productive time in Clemente's career. He was named the National League Most Valuable player in 1966 and lead in average in both 1965 and 1967. With regard to player specific use characteristics, labeling period, and overall eye appeal the offered ranks among the better Clemente game bats which we have offered in some time.
