Description: 1926 New York Yankees team photograph just before the World Series (PSA/DNA "Type I"). Striking 8"x10" photograph of the American League Championship team with a smiling Babe Ruth appearing at center of the back row. A no less happy Lou Gehrig stands a few subjects down. Original 9/20/26 dated paper caption on the back notes it was taken just days prior to the start of the World Series.
