Description: Museum quality Ty Cobb photograph c.1910-12 (PSA/DNA "Type I"). Rare early image of Ty Cobb at bat offers a striking view of his form with bat being drawn back in anticipation of an incoming pitch. Art like qualities with perfect focus on the batsman and both the background and catcher appearing more muted. Action shots in this style are highly uncommon for this era and we submit that this ranks firmly among the best images of Cobb taken at the time. Further, it is just under 8"x10" in size which is likewise seldom seen for the period. In very fine overall condition with a hint of light toning a little mentionable wear.
