Description: Ty Cobb professional model baseball bat c.1925-28 (index bat). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with bold and well pronounced Cobb facsimile signature in the barrel measures 33.75" long and weighs 33.6oz. While similar to bats which Cobb would have ordered himself, the offered example is a "index bat" which could have been requested by any number of entities including Major League teams, colleges, and other organized leagues. Fine example for display (especially when compared to far more expensive bats which would have been made for Cobb himself) with a nicely aged surface and deeply impressed markings. Use/wear throughout including a handle crack. Portions of a mailing label remain affixed and there is some faint factory applied side writing visible on the barrel.
