Description:Rare 1912 Washington Nationals panoramic photograph with Walter Johnson - the opening series at Fenway Park. Sweeping large format photograph showing uniformed team members standing shoulder to shoulder inside Fenway Park in Boston. Printed in titling along the top notes April 23, 1912 date which was the second game played at the now fabled venue during its' opening series. Those shown include Hall of Famer Walter Johnson who enjoyed what was likely his finest season winning (33) games with (303) strikeouts, (7) shutouts, and a (1.39) ERA. The lighthearted Germany Schaefer took advantage of the long exposure time required when capturing a photograph of this size and appears on both the left and right ends (having run from one to the other during the process). Framed to 12"x33.25" with the image displaying at the EX/MT level having only a few minor visible flaws. When viewing the back there is toning/discoloration throughout and a more pronounced line running down the center. Mounted with what appears to be archival tape could likely be removed by a professional: VG-EX
