Description: Magnificent 1913 Philadelphia Athletics panoramic photograph presented to Rube Oldring - World Series Champions. Visually arresting original black and white photograph of the World Series Champion Athletics posed in full uniform, including their unique double elephant insignia sweaters, inside Shibe Park. Players are identified in white lettering below their respective likenesses including Eddie Plank, Frank Baker, Chief Bender, Connie Mack, Herb Pennock, and Eddie Collins. Overall composition is exceptional with crystal clear clarity and crisp registration offering art like qualities. Affixed to its' original mount which has "Philadelphia Athletics Champions of the World" hand calligraphed below. "Jennings" studio mark is printed within and the piece is housed in a period 15.5"x46.5" frame for display. Light silvering a touch of natural age/wear. Originally offered by Leland's in 2019 along with other pieces from the Estate of player Rube Oldring however the letter of provenance has been misplaced (a letter on Hunt Auctions stationary will be furnished to confirm history).
