Description: Newport Colts team cabinet photograph c.1897-99: New England League Championship era. Choice sepia toned photograph showing uniformed team members remains on the original 10"x12" mount which is marked, "Frank H. Child…New York and…Rhode Island." Light toning and a touch of age related wear with a small stain to lower right (effecting only the mount). The Colts began play in the New England League in 1897 and would capture the Championship title that same season. The would remain in operation, on and off as League finances dictated, through 1899: VGEstimated Price Range: ($500-$750)
