Description: Rare 1902 Philadelphia Athletics "American League Champions" cabinet card. Cabinet card (6.5"x4.25") issued in the period has "Athletics, American League Champions, 1902" titling printed within the lower front border. Photographic portion is a composite of studio portraits with a total of (19) team members shown and notables include Connie Mack, Rube Waddell, and Eddie Plank. Mark at lower right appears to read "MacIntyre" and the images match those which were utilized by the same maker on a different piece. In addition, these same depictions were published by The Sporting News in a November 1902 dated supplement. In fine condition with some mild toning/discoloration and a hint of light wear.
