Description: Willard Brown single signed baseball. Rawlings L.MacPhail Official American League baseball has been signed "Willard Brown" on a side panel. Fiber tipped marker signature rates 8 out of 10. Mild toning throughout and there is an abrasion/area of wear on the sweetspot. Brown was a power hitting center fielder who helped lead the Kansas City Monarchs to (6) pennants during the 1930s and 40s. He won a pair of Triple Crowns while playing in the Puerto Rican Winter League and was the first African American to hit a home run in the American League during a short stint with the St. Louis Browns.
