Description: 1957 Willie Mays "Most Popular Giant" award. (Mays Collection Photomatch). Figural award given to Mays by The Railroad Committee of Greater Cincinnati displaying a brass bell positioned on a walnut wooden plinth with inscribed brass placard attached to the front. Beveled receptacle at the back of the base likely for holding a hammer or similar instrument to strike the bell. 9" square at its base with light surface wear. Includes copy of black and white photograph picturing Mays with the offered award in his trophy display and certificate of provenance from the Willie Mays Collection: EXEstimated Price Range: ($300-$500)
