Shield shaped walnut wooden plaque with applied brass placard given to Mays by the Boston Chapter of the BBWAA in recognition of his 1954 NL Most Valuable Player Award. Engraved to Mays on the front placard with presentation date of 1955. Light to moderate general surface wear. 15" tall.
