Mahogany wooden plinth base displays a full-size gilt-painted Rawlings leather glove with “National League All Star Fielding Team” impressed black lettering. Figural brass baseball fielder, replaced with casting of 1958 original example, is affixed alongside figural brass free-standing placard, “1958 Rawlings Gold Glove OF Willie Mays Pittsburgh Pirates The Sporting News National League All Star Fielding Team”. 17” long with light surface wear mentioned for accuracy only. The offered example is the earliest original Gold Glove Award remaining within the Mays Collection.
