Description: Fine Willie Mays large format photograph for Life Magazine c.1960s. Stirring 9"x13" black and white image of Mays in full batting stance with superb depth of field use having the crowd in the background blurred to form a perfect backdrop. Stamped by Life Magazine on the back with photographer name having faded. Some surface creasing to the front along with scattered small areas of flaking to the surface emulsion. Allowing for the aforementioned condition points, one of the finest original images within the Mays Collection.
