Description: Rare 1906 Nap Lajoie autographed letter on outstanding "Lajoie's Official Base Ball Guide" pictorial stationary (PSA/DNA NM 7). October 26, 1906 dated typed letter has been signed "N.Lajoie" in fountain pen with the autograph graded "NM 7" by PSA. Written to August Herrmann, longtime President of the Cincinnati Reds, and done on highly visual stationary which has a picture of the 1906 edition of "Napoleon Lajoie's Official Base Ball Guide" printed at upper left. He writes to ask Herrmann for a photo of himself which is to be used in a future edition of the book. Lajoie was then in the heart of his Hall of Fame career and Managing the Cleveland team which bore his name (the "Cleveland Naps"). Autographed material from his playing days is exceedingly scarce and in combination with the fantastic association piece on which this signature appears it stands among our favorite Lajoie signed pieces which we have offered.
