Description: Rare style Spalding catchers mask with ear flaps c.1910s-20s. Early mask is a highly unusual style complete with throat protector and ear flaps. Heavy gauge metal cage comes to "points" above and below the eye opening and there are only a few small tack welds and areas where the metal is folded over upon itself (no bead welds). Padding is intact and shows only modest wear. Straps remain in place and there is a well preserved "Spalding" label: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($400-$600)
