Description: Rare 1894 Betz Studio Baltimore Orioles cabinet photo - National League Champions (PSA Good 2 - only and highest graded). Original 4.25"x6.5" cabinet mount with applied photographic composite showing members of the 1894 Baltimore Orioles. The team was among the most talent laden of the period counting (7) future members of the Hall of Fame among their roster: John McGraw, Ned Hanlon, Wee Willie Keeler, High Jennings, Dan Brouthers, Wilbert Robinson, and Joe Kelley. A late season run saw them win (24) of the last (25) games to edge out the Giants and claim the N.L. title. They would go on to play New York in the first Temple Cup, an early form of Championship Series, which later inspired the World Series at the close of each season. Graded "GD 2" by PSA with only a touch of light evident wear along with minor toning. Some more pronounced spots on the back appear to be surface residue and may be the result of prior mounting.
