Description: Rare Mickey Mantle Rawlings Advisory Staff advertising display c.1950s. Large format promotional piece is one of the earlier done after Rawlings had signed Mickey Mantle as an endorsee. He is shown in the Yankee Stadium locker room and is a pose which is the company also used on one of their better known 8"x10" premium photos. Currently housed in a 25.25"x31.5" frame, it appears to have been done on, or mounted to, heavy stock backing. Moderate wear is largely confined to the corners and edges which have a few mostly minor chips or flakes. Soiling/discoloration to lower left effecting only the "Rawlings" name within the text box. Exceedingly rare with this being the first example of this particular advertising poster which we can recall offering in many years: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
