Description: Superb Bill Walton Portland Trail Blazers professional model jersey c.1977-78 (NBA Most Valuable Player Season)(MeiGray Photomatch). Black mesh jersey with original “Blazers” and “32” in red on white tackle twill across the front. Matching “Walton” and “32” remain affixed to the back. Original Rawlings manufacturer’s label attached to the tail front with size 42 indicator and supplemental additional length label. Interior tail displays “Walton” chain stitched strip tag. Super visible use and wash is noted throughout the shirt with pronounced ‘puckering’ to the letters, numerals, and tagging in particular. The shirt was conclusively photomatched by MeiGray to two Blazers’ games against the Celtics and Bulls, during the 1977-78 season, respectively. One of the most impressive Walton game jerseys to have been offered at public auction importantly dated to his 1977-78 NBA Most Valuable Player award season.
