Description: Outstanding 1975 Carlton Fisk Boston Red Sox professional model home jersey. White knit jersey with -Red Sox+ team name across the front has the famed number -27+ on back. -McAuliffe+ tag appears in the collar with -42+ size tag below. On the front tail are -1975+ year and wash tags. Usage and wash wear evident throughout along some light scattered staining quite possibly due to, in part, positioning of catcher+s equipment. While the Red Sox were defeated by the powerful Cincinnati Reds in a seven game classic World Series contest, Carlton Fisk provided a moment for the ages. During the 6th game played at Boston+s Fenway Park Fisk seemingly willed a ball fair for a home run to send the Fall Classic to a deciding 7th game. To this date, the Fisk home run ranks among the more memorable home runs in baseball history.
