Description: 1970 Roberto Clemente Gold Glove Award. Prestigious figural award as presented annually to the premier defensive players of the National and American League by position. Mahogany wooden plinth base displays a full size gilt painted Rawlings leather glove with "Major League All Star Fielding Team" impressed black lettering. Glove is positioned atop a central pedestal with applied image of Clemente on brass facade with two gilt painted baseballs perched on metal pedestals flanking. Brass placard displayed on front of base inscribed, "OF Roberto Clemente 10th Award 1970 The Sporting News National League All-Star Fielding Team". 16" long with some light surface wear to the Clemente brass placard and some age toning to the surface of the leather glove.
