Description: 1964 Roberto Clemente Gold Glove Award. Prestigious figural award as presented annually to the premier defensive players of the National and American League by position. Walnut wooden plinth base displays a full size gilt painted Rawlings leather glove with "Major League All Star Fielding Team" impressed black lettering. Figural baseball shaped finial affixed in front of diamond shaped wooden back splash with brass facade having "Rawlings Gold Glove Award" inscribed on front. Brass placard displayed on front of base inscribed, "OF Roberto Clemente 4th Award 1964 The Sporting News National League All-Star Fielding Team". 16" long with some light patination to the brass surface of baseball finial. Wooden base has some slight warping to base boards and few areas of age toning. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family: EX-EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($50,000-$100,000)
