Description: Exceedingly rare 1916 Alex Pearson signed scarce Spalding Official National League baseball (GD-VG) Rare black and orange stitched baseball displays an early Spalding double circle logo and "Official National League" markings. Block lettered across the sweetspot is the player name "Alex Pearson", signed in a similar fashion to many early "autographs" we have encountered (from a period in which autograph collecting of baseball players was in it's infancy). In addition, Pearson has written "Aug 22nd 1916, West B------ (undecipherable) Penna." The word "To:" is written in the same hand and name Mrs. O. Manley" filled in in cursive.
