Description: Rare Jack Coombs single signed baseball (d.1957) - one of the premier pitchers of the early 20th Century (Sig. EX/MT-NM, Ball EX-EX/MT) Spalding brand "Official League" baseball has been signed across a side panel, "John W. Coombs." The signature is done in vintage fountain pen rating 7/8 out of 10. Ball displays mild even toning with well defined stampings. There is an area of wear over the "Spalding" logo which has no effect when viewing the signed panel.
